Itinerary

We meet you at the airport or directly at your hotel in Morondava and begin our journey toward Kirindy Forest. Lunch is taken in Morondava or Kirindy, depending on your arrival time. On the way, we stop at the famous Avenue of Baobabs to take photos and enjoy the scenery before continuing the drive..

In the early evening, we go on a guided night walk in Kirindy, where we may encounter nocturnal lemurs and, with some luck, the fossa, Madagascar’s largest predator, before dinner.

Overnight: Relais de Kirindy

In the morning, we visit Kirindy Reserve to search for sifakas, lemurs, birds, and other wildlife. After the visit, we begin the drive toward Bekopaka, crossing the river by ferry. We stop for lunch in Belo-sur-Tsiribihina, then continue the drive to Bekopaka in the afternoon

Overnight: Olympe Hotel (or similar)

After an early breakfast, we head to the Grand Tsingy to start the hike as early as possible and avoid the heat. This is the most spectacular part of the park, famous for its towering limestone formations that rise like stone cathedrals. The circuit combines forest trails, metal ladders, narrow passages, hanging bridges, and panoramic viewpoints overlooking the Tsingy landscape. Along the way, we look for lemurs, birds, and unique dry-forest vegetation growing between the rocks.

The hike usually lasts between 4 and 7 hours, depending on the route and your pace. After the visit, we return to the hotel for lunch and enjoy a relaxing afternoon to rest, swim, or simply recover from the hike.

Overnight: At your hotel in Bekopaka

In the morning, we explore the Manambolo River by canoe, gliding through calm waters surrounded by impressive cliffs and a peaceful atmosphere. We observe birds, small wildlife, and learn about the daily life and traditions of local communities along the river. We then visit the nearby caves, where you can see stalactites, stalagmites, and ancient tombs that form part of the region’s cultural heritage.

In the afternoon, we continue with a guided walk in the Petit Tsingy. The formations here are smaller but still impressive, with easier trails that offer a different perspective of the landscape before returning to the hotel.

Overnight: At your hotel in Bekopaka

Early in the morning, after breakfast, we start the drive back to Morondava. We stop for lunch in Belo-sur-Tsiribihina and make a short visit to the Baobabs in Love along the way. In the late afternoon, we arrive again at the Avenue of Baobabs to enjoy one of Madagascar’s most iconic sunsets. After sunset, we drop you off at your hotel in Morondava. If needed, airport transfer can be arranged for the following day.
