Our name, “Tongasoa”, means welcome in Malagasy — reflecting our commitment to making every traveller feel at home. We drive these roads every season, we know which lodge has hot water and which park guide will find the indri fastest, and we would rather tell you honestly that a route doesn't work in February than sell you a bad week.

Christian has run Tongasoa Mada Tours since 2019. He is passionate about his country — its forests, its wildlife and the people who live alongside them — and loves nothing more than showing it to visitors.

Every trip runs with your own vehicle and driver-guide. You set the departure time and stop where you want to stop.
Local guides, paid properly
Park guides and community reserves are booked and paid directly, which is how the reserves stay funded.
